What we store on your device, and why.

What we use
Studex uses a small number of cookies and similar browser storage. Most of it isn't tracking — it's what makes staying signed in and keeping a cart possible at all.
Strictly necessary
- Authentication — set by Firebase to keep you signed in between visits. Without these you'd be logged out on every page load.
- Cookie preference — remembers whether you accepted or declined, so we stop asking.
Functional
- Guest cart and wishlist — kept in your browser's local storage so items survive a refresh before you've signed in. Once you log in, they merge into your account and the local copy is cleared.
- Recently viewed — so we can show you what you were just looking at.
What we don't use
No advertising cookies, and no third-party tracking or profiling.
Managing them
You can decline non-essential storage from the banner, and clear everything through your browser settings at any time. Clearing storage while signed out will empty a guest cart.
