Privacy policy

What we collect

• Account details — your name, email, and password. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are never visible to us.
• Profile details — anything you choose to add: phone number, campus or area, delivery location, interests, and a profile photo.
• Store details — if you sell: your store name, description, logo and listings.
• Activity — your cart, wishlist, recently viewed items, orders, and who you follow.

What we don't collect

We never see or store your card details. Payments are handled entirely by Paystack on their own secure pages; we only receive a reference telling us whether a payment succeeded.

Why we hold it

To run your account, show your cart and wishlist across devices, connect buyers with vendors for delivery, process payments, and send you order and account notifications. That's it — we don't sell your data to anyone.

Who can see what

Your name and any delivery details you provide are shared with a vendor only when you order from them, so they can get your items to you. Your store page, listings and follower count are public. Your cart, wishlist, orders and notifications are private to you, enforced by database-level security rules, not just by the interface.

Who we share it with

• Google Firebase — hosting, authentication, database, and sending your verification email.
• Paystack — payment processing.

Your choices

You can edit or clear your profile details at any time, and ask us to delete your account by contacting us. Note that completed orders are kept as a financial record even after an account closes.

Studex is intended for students aged 16 and over.
