1. What Studex is

Studex is a marketplace connecting student buyers and student vendors on campus. We provide the platform; we don't own, inspect, or sell the items listed on it. Each sale is a contract between the buyer and that vendor.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything done through your account. Give us accurate information, and keep it up to date. One person, one account.

3. Buying

Placing an order is an offer to buy from that vendor. Your order is confirmed once payment clears. Each vendor sets their own delivery fee, or offers pickup instead — you'll see exactly what applies to your order at checkout before you pay, and handover itself is still arranged directly with the vendor.

4. Selling

If you sell, you confirm you own the items and are entitled to sell them, that your descriptions and photos are accurate, and that you'll honour orders you accept. The seller guidelines form part of these terms.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Paystack under their own terms. Amounts charged are calculated server-side from the order record — never from figures supplied by your browser. Any delivery fee (set by the vendor, see Section 3) is included in that amount and shown before you pay.

6. The Studex Guarantee

Buyers may claim a full refund within 24 hours of receiving an item that doesn't match its description. Claims outside that window, or for items accurately described but simply unwanted, are at the vendor's discretion.

7. Prohibited use

Don't use Studex to sell anything listed as prohibited in the seller guidelines, to defraud anyone, to harass other users, or to attempt to break, probe or overload the platform.

8. Suspension

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with notice where it's reasonable to give it, and immediately where it isn't.

9. Our liability

Studex is provided as-is. We aren't party to the sale between buyer and vendor and aren't liable for the quality, safety or legality of listed items, beyond the Guarantee described above. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we'll flag it on the site. Continuing to use Studex after a change means you accept it.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.
